Many newcomers are able to enjoy the education opportunities available in Canada. At the Battlefords Immigration Resource Centre we are able to provide information on how the schooling system in Canada works, from how to enroll a child in school to how to apply for college or university.
STUDY PERMITS
In Canada, if you are not a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident, you must have a Study Permit to attend a school, college or university. There are some special situations where a study permit are not required. The staff at the Centre can help you find information on:
LEARNING ENGLISH
For most newcomers, learning English is an important part of settling in Saskatchewan. BIRC can provide guidance and information on learning English!
